As you may recall, as of January 2024, Mexico City’s Zócalo is pedestrian. As part of this change, several events have been held in the Plaza de la Constitución. The next one will be this Sunday, May 12, and consists of a walk in which there will be several free activities. Don’t go away because we’ll tell you all about it.

As detailed through social networks, the event will feature artistic and cultural activities including batucada, break dance and a carnival of comparsas. In fact, chinelos, stilt walkers, jugglers, mariachis and organ grinders will also participate. As you can see the atmosphere will be very festive.
Sports can’t be missing, so you’ll find wrestling performances. It was also announced that skateboards and bicycles will be available for loan to attendees. Just make sure you arrive early so you don’t miss anything.
This first walk will take place on Sunday, May 12 starting at 10:00 am. Access will be free of charge.
