In a press conference on June 27th, federal authorities announced when Bicentennial Park will open, as well as information about the future of this Mexico City space.
Claudia Curiel de Icaza, head of the Federal Culture Secretariat, explained that this park will open the first days of July 2025 and will keep its entrance free of charge. She also explained that the 55 hectares that make up this Mexico City park have been maintained.
When does Bicentennial Park open and what are the opening hours?
According to the official, this park will reopen next Tuesday, July 1, 2025 to resume activities. In addition, it will keep its regular hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Regarding the operation of the park, it was detailed that it will enter into a mixed agreement with the FUAN Committee and the National Auditorium; in this way there will be both free and paid events. Details on the activities and events to be held will be provided at a later date.
It is important to mention that Parque Bicentenario was managed by a private company since 2018. However, the concession was withdrawn last May, after Berenice and Miguel died on April 5 while covering the Ceremonia 2025 Festival.
The park is currently managed by Mexico’s Ministry of Culture.
