With all this soccer, you’re probably wondering: When does the 2026 Liga BBVA MX start? The Apertura tournament will kick off sooner than you think. Grab your calendar because we’ve got the dates for the first matches.
This tournament will begin on July 16 with Matchday 1. The first match we’ll see will be between Necaxa and Atlante, who will face off at Estadio Victoria that Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
That same day, we’ll see Tigres take on Tijuana at Estadio Caliente. The match will kick off at 9:00 p.m. sharp. These two matches will kick off Matchday 1 of the Apertura Tournament.
