
In the framework of #8M and International Women’s Day, “Tiempo de mujeres: Festival por la Igualdad” arrives, an event that will offer more than 150 different activities.
This seventh edition will feature programming in 23 venues in the CDMX, and you can find exhibitions, musical presentations and more. There will even be a rock concert at the Monumento a la Revolución, as well as a play at the capital’s Zócalo.
This initiative seeks to give visibility to the creative potential of women. At a press conference it was announced that the event will start next Friday, February 28, 2025.
What will Tiempo de mujeres: Festival por la Igualdad 2025 be like?
Among all the activities will be a concert that will pay tribute to Mexican rockers such as Rita Guerrero, Ela Laboriel and Angélica María, for example.
Artists such as Brenda Marín, Elis Paprika, Norma Valdez, Renee Mooi, Verónica Ruiz and many more will participate. It will take place on March 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Monumento a la Revolución.
There will also be the Violet Rally; an activity in which girls and teenagers will be able to make short films with their cell phones.
The festival ‘s program also includes a couple of concerts by the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra. On March 8 and 9 they will perform at the Silvestre Revueltas Hall where they will play pieces composed by women.
