Everything is ready for the Chess Festival in Mexico City’s Zócalo! As part of this event, a tournament will be held in different parts of the city. We bring you all the details.
The first thing you need to know is that the Chess Festival 2025 will take place next Sunday, July 20 at 10:00 am. You will find different activities in the capital’s Zócalo, including master classes, exhibitions and even giant boards.
One of the main activities will be the grand finale of a chess tournament. For this purpose, elimination rounds will be held in eight CDMX venues between June 21 and July 13. Participants will be divided into six categories depending on their age. Boys and girls can also participate.
You can register through the official website of the event. Space is limited, so be sure to register. The first two places in each category will be selected to move on to the grand final, which will be held at the Chess Festival in the Zócalo of the CDMX.
