Can you imagine picking out your own Christmas tree in the middle of a forest and then enjoying a forest filled with lights, snow, and Christmas characters? El Bosque del Ciclo Verde, in Veracruz, offers two ways to enjoy the holiday season with your family.
From November 14 to December 20, this venue opens its plantations so visitors can explore the forest, find their favorite pine tree, and enjoy the experience of cutting it down. The price per tree is 1,190 pesos.
In addition, the site features picnic areas, free grills, Finnish-style bonfires, playgrounds with suspension bridges and zip lines, as well as an area where you can spot white-tailed deer.
The project has been promoting this tradition for 35 years and operates on a reforestation cycle: every fall, it plants new seeds to replace the harvested trees, which take approximately seven years to grow.
Noël: a Christmas theme park with lights, Santa, and snowfall
But that’s not all. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can also visit Noël, a Christmas-themed park set in the middle of the forest.
Here you’ll find an illuminated Enchanted Forest, Santa’s House, the Polar Post Office, Villa Korvantunturi, and a toy factory. There will also be snowfall, shows, a Christmas posada, and the traditional tree-lighting ceremony.
The park offers three types of admission, depending on the experiences you’d like to enjoy:
- Admission pass: $395 per person. Includes Santa’s House, the Polar Post Office, Korvantunturi Village, snowfall displays, the inn, and the tree-lighting ceremony.
- Day pass: 595 pesos per person. Includes a puppet show, a toy workshop, and Fulgoria, the star of the cave.
- All-inclusive pass: 795 pesos per person. Includes everything listed above plus two shows at the Enchanted Forest.
