If you were waiting for a sign to adopt a pup, this is probably the cutest one yet. The third edition of the Adoption Caravan will arrive this Sunday, May 17, at the Paseo Dominical de Reforma with a parade of puppies ready to find a family.
The initiative is organized by La Perra Vibra and aims to raise awareness of responsible adoption while dozens of people enjoy one of the city’s most popular strolls. How does it work? Rescued puppies will ride down Paseo de la Reforma on cargo bikes to interact with attendees and, hopefully, win over their future humans.
Here’s what the adoption parade on Reforma will look like
The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Torre del Caballito, where teams will be organized and each pup will be assigned to a cargo bike based on their size and comfort. The parade is scheduled to depart around 12:00 p.m.
During the tour, the dogs will make their way to the Angel of Independence, where they’ll stop so that those walking, running, or biking by can come over and meet them.
After spending time with the public, the caravan will return to the Torre del Caballito at approximately 1:30 p.m.
You can also participate by adopting a pup

In addition to attending to meet the puppies, people who currently have a dog looking for a home can also join the parade. To do so, you must contact La Perra Vibra in advance and follow the instructions provided to ensure the safety and comfort of all participating animals.
In previous editions, several dogs found homes thanks to this initiative, so the project continues to grow within Mexico City’s cycling and rescue communities.
