There’s no better way to start the year than by fulfilling your New Year’s resolutions, and if among them is to be more fit and spend more time in nature, the Ajolote Run is definitely a must for you.
The first thing you should know is that the Ajolote Race will take place on January 28 at the Xochimilco Ecological Park, and will be held in the categories of 5 and 10 kilometers.
And don’t worry if you’re not ready to run the 10 kilometers like a pro! You can walk, jog or run at your own pace, while celebrating this incredible endemic animal of the Valley of Mexico.
The Ajolote Run will take place at 7:00 a.m. to celebrate the National Day of the Mexican Ajolote and you can take advantage of the walk to visit the lakes and canals where this salamander is native.
Registration fees for the Ajolote Run
It is important to know that the cost of registration varies according to the distance you prefer. Registrations for the 5 kilometer Ajolote Run have a cost of $499 plus service charges. On the other hand, the 10-kilometer race costs $540 plus service charges.
You should also know that within each race there will be branches and categories. For the 5 kilometer race there will be male and female categories regardless of age.
On the other hand, for the 10 kilometer race there will be free category up to 39 years old, master from 40 to 49 years old, veterans plus for people 60 years old and older. They will also be divided into women and men.

The delivery of runner kits will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in the parking lot of the Xochimilco Ecological Park from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
