Get your bike ready because this weekend we have an appointment in Xochimilco to ride the Ruta del Ajolote. This is a ride in which you will visit different areas of this municipality of the CDMX.
In this biocultural ride you will discover more about the salamanders (there is even the possibility of seeing them) and you will learn about the importance of preserving the lake area of Xochimilco.
When will the Ajolote Route in Xochimilco take place?
According to a press release from the Secretary of the Environment of CDMX, the ride will be this Saturday, January 25 from 7:00 to 11:00 am. The starting point will be the Acuexcomatl Environmental Cultural Center (Xochimilco Ecological Park).
Then they will visit the corridor “La Brecha”, “La Gran Chinampa” and the trails of the CCA Acuexcomatl. In addition to learning about the place and the ajolotes you will be able to take incredible photos and discover about food production.
The cost to participate is $76. You can register by calling 55 5843 5204 or emailing eduambiental.acuex@gmail.com. They usually lend bikes, but they are no longer available for this Saturday’s ride, so you will have to bring your own bike for the tour.
It is recommended to bring water and comfortable clothes. Don’t forget to dress warmly, as the ride is very early in the morning and we are still in the cold season, so be sure to reserve your spot so you don’t miss out on this ride!
