Didn’t go to the Capibara Fest in CDMX? Don’t worry because you still have a chance to do it, they’ve extended the dates! This is a themed event where you will enjoy different surprises, including a very special menu with the image of these little animals.
This festival is organized by Catfecito, a cafeteria in Mexico City where the kittens are the protagonists (you can even live with some of them while you eat your food).
When and where will Capibara Fest 2025 be held in CDMX?
This capybara festival will be held throughout February at Catfecito (266 Baja California Avenue, Hipódromo Condesa). Admission is free; you only have to pay for what you consume.
The place is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00 hours. Although it is focused on cats, during the festival the capybaras will be the stars. There will even be a themed menu and collectibles.
As detailed through social networks, in order to attend you must book three days in advance (at least). You can write to them through social networks or WhatsApp: 55 2260 5551 and choose the food you want from the menu. Afterwards you only have to mention what day and time you will go. It is important to note that the order is with previous payment.
It is worth mentioning that Catfecito is a cafeteria with a cause. It is part of the Casa del Gato Gazzu, an association that helps homeless cats.
All proceeds from the place and the festival are used to support the adoption center.
