The city is ready to get romantic, and on February 13, you can celebrate Valentine’s Dayat Alameda Central in Mexico City with a free event in the heart of the Historic Center.
From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the iconic Alameda Central will become the “Alameda Enamorada”(Alameda in Love), a space full of activities to enjoy with your partner, friends, or family without spending a penny.
Free Valentine’s Day activities at the Alameda Central in Mexico City
Throughout the day, there will be activities designed for all ages. You can make your own bookmark, create themed soaps called “Embrujo de amor” ( Love Spell), and prepare chocolate-covered bonbons.
If you want to bring out your artistic (or romantic) side, there will also be poetry readings. And if singing at the top of your lungs is your thing, karaoke will be the perfect setting to dedicate that special song.
In addition, there will be a fun “married for a day” activity and a photo booth so you can take home a souvenir of your visit to this Love and Friendship Day event in Mexico City.
The Corridor of Love already lights up the Historic Center
As part of the pre-celebration atmosphere, the Historic Center has installed the “Corridor of Love, “ a light installation composed of more than 20 giant hearts and cupids.
This space is designed for everyone to go and take romantic (or fun) photos surrounded by lights and monumental figures. It is undoubtedly one of the most Instagrammable spots for this season.
