If you’re looking for a unique, creative, and free activity in Mexico City, this is for you. The Los Pinos Cultural Complex has just opened a space designed especially for little ones: the Enchanted Pool.
It is a play area located in the former pool of Casa Miguel Alemán, which has now been transformed into a place full of color, imagination, and group play. Here, children can explore, interact, and let their creativity run wild in a safe environment.
What’s most interesting is that this space not only invites play but also encourages a connection with the natural surroundings of Chapultepec Forest, through symbolic and artistic elements that turn the journey into a sensory experience.
A space for imagining, playing, and socializing

The Enchanted Pool was created by the Ministry of Culture as a gathering place where cooperative play and imagination take center stage. It is not a conventional pool: there is no water here, but rather installations that invite exploration and teamwork.
Note: Access is limited exclusively to children between the ages of 5 and 10, so it’s important to keep this age range in mind before planning your visit.
These types of initiatives aim to foster community integration from childhood onward, in an environment accessible to all families. Plus, since it’s located within Los Pinos, you can complement your visit with other cultural spaces on the grounds or take a stroll through Chapultepec.
It’s a perfect plan for the weekend —or even during the week—if you want to break out of the routine with the little ones.
