1. Bank of Mexico Museum
Childhood is the perfect time to learn what money is for. In this museum the little ones can see the vault, the numismatic collection and the functions of the Central Bank. Every month you will find different exhibits, workshops and more. There are interactive areas and even a place where they will see a bill with their face on it. 💰

2. Bicentennial Park
The list of free places in CDMX could not miss this park that welcomes children of all ages. In addition to its impressive green areas, all kinds of games await you: sandboxes, playgrounds, a bike track and more. There are also sports areas such as basketball and volleyball courts. 🏃🏽

Chapultepec Zoo

4. Stellar Museum
Do you know a little one with an 80’s soul? Take them to this Star Wars inspired museum! Here they exhibit collectible toys, light sabers, busts, ships and more, there are around 6 thousand pieces! They also organize events for fans such as conferences and conviviality. 🌟

5. Mini Sunday
Museo Jumex not only stands out for promoting contemporary art, but also for inviting the little ones to get to know its spaces and exhibitions. 🎨
It has a program called “Mini Sunday” where children join artistic activities that are related to a particular theme or one of the exhibitions in turn. You can find out what will be done this Sunday through their website.

6. National Biodiversity Pavilion
Among the free places to go with children in CDMX, this interactive museum of the UNAM could not be missing. Here the little ones will see a collection of wood, plus they will learn about vertebrate animals; let them be surprised with the fungi exhibition and let their imagination fly in the digital library. 🦋

7. Utopia Ship Digital Aquarium
In the Utopia Boat, in Iztapalapa, there is a digital aquarium where kids will learn about marine species, climate change and much more. All through a navigation simulator and other unmissable attractions. The venue also has a library, an open-air forum and even a screening room where they will have a great time. 🐟

8. La Ballenita

9. Star Wars Park

It is located in the Venustiano Carranza district and has representations of characters such as Yoda, Darth Vader, R2D2 and Chewbacca. This space also has games and attractions where the little ones will get all their energy out. ✨

10. Yancuic Museum
This precinct is one of the most recent cultural openings in Iztapalapa. The Yancuic Museum is an immersive museum where kids will learn about climate change and ecosystems. All through interactive installations, immersion, workshops and more. 🦍

11. Bosque de Aragón
This forest is a perfect option to have fun outdoors. Bosque de Aragón has attractions such as a zoo and a children’s area. But, the best thing is that there is a monthly program that includes tours, workshops, talks and even children’s stories. Take into account that the program is announced through social networks. 🌳

12. Museums in CDMX

13. Park with Mario Bros figures
The Emilio Carranza Civic Plaza, in the Venustiano Carranza district, has become one of the most fun spots for children. Among its attractions are the Mario Bros figures, with which they can take pictures.
It is a small space but with activities for boys and girls, from a little train to a zip line and children’s games.Take into account that most of the attractions are only available on weekends. 🍄

14. Iztapasauria
To the side, Jurassic Park! This theme park is home to a variety of life-size dinosaurs with movement and sound. During your tour you will see and learn more about these huge animals.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Occasionally they organize activities and workshops related to the theme of the place. Through their Facebook page they publish the billboard. 🦖

15. Fourth section of Chapultepec Forest.
The fourth section of Bosque de Chapultepec is a good option to entertain the kids on weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays they have workshops for different ages at the Ermita Vasco de Quiroga. They also offer literary presentations, exhibitions and even concerts.

16. Los Pinos
If you are looking for activities for young and old, then you must visit the Los Pinos Cultural Complex. Every weekend has a lot to offer, including exhibitions, workshops, music and art. Occasionally there are also movie showings and gastronomic experiences. 🌲

17. Museo del Axolote
It is a new space in the CDMX dedicated to salamanders and amphibians. The idea is to promote the care of these animals, as well as the ecosystem where they live. Children and adults will learn more about these animals and will even be able to see them in person. You can visit it from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 15:30 hours.

18. Memorabilia Café
In this list of free places in CDMX to go with children, Memorabilia Café could not be missing. It is a good place to show the kids what our childhood was like, the toys we used to play with and even the most popular candies of the time.
