The film that marked the Mexican cinema of the 2000’s is about to return to the big screen! It has been confirmed that we will have Amores perros in theaters to relive the story of director Alejandro Iñárritu.
It seems like only yesterday when this film fascinated audiences. Twenty-five years after its premiere, it is still so memorable that it will be screened to relive it (or watch it for the first time, in case you haven’t seen it).
When will Amores perros return to theaters?
The film written by Guillermo Arriaga that portrays Mexico City at the turn of the century, with three different stories that come together in a car accident, will be screened on October 9 with Cinépolis and Cinemex.
This is a one-time only date, so don’t miss it! Because more than a re-screening, this is an opportunity to see the film that has become a benchmark in contemporary cinema internationally.
We remember Amores perros for its surprising narration with unexpected twists and turns, but also for the fabulous performance of Gael García, Vanessa Bauche and Emilio Echaverría.
And we don’t forget the sountrack! The soundtrack also left its mark with “Lucha de gigantes” by Nacha Pop and “Me van a matar” by Julieta Venegas.
Between these memorable details and the photographic direction by Rodrigo Prieto, the film went on to receive nominations in other parts of the world, such as the Oscar Award in the “Best Foreign Film” category in 2001.
Undoubtedly, this is the perfect opportunity to appreciate once again one of the cinematographic creations that has shown the incredible national talent in the industry.
The pre-sale date has not yet been confirmed so you can purchase your tickets, but we suggest you stay tuned to secure your place.
