The Raíces Ancestrales 2025 Festival returns to the CDMX to honor the cultural, artisanal and productive richness of rural communities throughout the country and you can’t miss it!
This event will take place on November 29 and 30 at the emblematic Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina de la UNAM, located in the heart of the Historic Center of the city.
The best part? The celebration coincides with the 1st National Congress of Producers of Rural Distillates and Traditional Art, an initiative that seeks to make visible the work of families who, generation after generation, keep alive the tradition of agave, mezcal and other Mexican distillates.
What awaits you at the Raíces Ancestrales 2025 Festival?
For two days, attendees will be able to enjoy an unprecedented sensory and cultural experience. The festival will bring together more than 50 national labels of rural distillates, accompanied by guided tastings that will allow you to discover the essence of each region.
In addition, there will be a vibrant live traditional music festival, where ancestral sounds will blend with the festive atmosphere expected at the venue.
The gastronomic offer will also be the protagonist, with a selection of typical dishes that will perfectly accompany the distillates, delicious!
In addition to this, there will be a space dedicated to the sale of Mexican handicrafts, where you can purchase unique pieces that reflect the cultural identity of various communities in our country.
One of the highlights will be the specialized conferences and lectures given by producers, professionals and experts in the agro-agave-production-commercialization chain. This space is designed to share knowledge, open dialogues and generate support networks among those who are part of this valuable sector.
Admission to the festival will be free with a voluntary recovery fee, although it is necessary to register in advance by requesting access to the official accounts of México Agavero or by emailing mexicoagavero.inf@gmail.com.
Beyond the celebration, the Raíces Ancestrales Festival has a profound objective: to create awareness about the real value of the artisan and agricultural work of Mexican producer families, promoting their recognition and support.
