The dates have been confirmed! And the new edition of the Leon Balloon Festival 2024 has already been announced, so you are still very close to organize a weekend getaway to enjoy this unmissable experience.
The 2024 edition will take place from November 15-18 at the Metropolitan Park, located less than 20 minutes from downtown León.

This place has a natural protected area of 362 hectares, so you can enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful green colored view that the park offers from 5:00 to 21:00 hours.

This year, FIG 2024 will welcome more than 30 guest countries such as Brazil, Spain, United States, Lithuania, France, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, and more.
You will be able to see 200 giant hot air balloons that will fill the sky with colors, and for the first time there will be balloons with special figures!
The date of the pre-sale and general sale of tickets, as well as their price, have not been published yet, but it usually takes place around September.
More about the Leon Balloon Festival 2024
As every year, this festival takes place in the city of Leon, in the state of Guanajuato, just 4 and a half hours from Mexico City. FIG 2024 is the largest event of its kind in Latin America and the third most important worldwide.
For four days you can enjoy an ornate and colorful sky, which is prepared from 5 am, so that from 6:30 am you can admire an approximate of 200 giant hot air balloons of different shapes and colors. At night, after sunset, the balloons return to the airfield to be anchored to the ground and to be admired closely.
But that’s not all, they also have a cultural agenda, bazaar-style spaces for shopping and also places to try delicious snacks. You will enjoy different shows and concerts where you may be able to see your favorite artist.
The best part? International artists always come to give live concerts. This year you will be able to see Armin Van Buuren, Marshmello, J Balvin, and Julión Álvarez live.
About tickets
Tickets are already on sale in phase 2 and you will find five types of tickets:
- Morning: $290 pesos with access from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Evening: $470 pesos with access from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m.
- Day Pass: $620 pesos with morning and afternoon access on the day of your choice.
- Season Ticket: $1,800 pesos with Day Pass for all four days of the festival
- VIP x day: $2,800 pesos with Day Pass the day of your choice
But that’s not all! FIG 2024 recently announced that for the first time with your admission ticket you will be able to bring a guest with you.
This will only be valid for Friday, November 15 and they will be able to enjoy the take-off of more than 200 hot air balloons, the official inauguration, the J Balvin concert, a drone show and all the other activities scheduled for that day.
This is valid with your morning, afternoon or Day Pass. Tickets are on sale at OXXO stores in León and online.
