Solovino Club
Located on Avenida Insurgentes in the Colonia del Valle neighborhood, Solovino Club offers tastings tailored to whatever plan you have in mind. La Fiambrería
La Fiambrería started out as a gourmet wine shop in Condesa, but has since become a go-to spot for wine tastings in Mexico City. The sessions are led by a sommelier, last between one hour and an hour and a half, and are held in groups of up to 10 people. There are tastings of Mexican, Argentine, and Italian wines… And from time to time, they organize blind tastings ( in case you want to challenge yourself).
An Idiot’s Guide to Wine
The most unique option on the list, but it simply had to be included. “An Idiot’s Guide to Wine” is actually a comedy show paired with a wine tasting, where you sample six wines from different parts of the world while the comedian shares fun facts and jokes. So you end up learning without even realizing you were learning.
The show was written by Merrick Watts, the only comedian in the world with a Level 3 certification from the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), and in Mexico City, he performs at the Caruso Canta Bar.

Instead of a sommelier leading a tasting, here you come to enjoy a wine-pairing dinner with a live chef: they cook right in front of you in a private space inside their own winery, and each dish is paired with a wine specifically selected to complement it. Vinos Chidos is a small bar in Condesa where you can walk in, order wine by the glass or by the bottle, and snack on something from their selection of appetizers—without a guided session or set tasting schedule. What really sets the place apart is its membership club: they do organize exclusive tastings for members there, so if you like the place and want to get more serious about wine, that’s your gateway.
