Take your precautions! Between July and August 2025 there will be closures on the Chapultepec Cablebus, as well as on Line 1 and 2 of this means of transportation, due to annual maintenance tasks.
Each line will be closed for several days and on different dates. The first to temporarily stop service will be Line 3, which runs from Los Pinos to Vaso de Quiroga. Don’t worry about the transfer because there will be RTP trucks covering the route for free.
When will the Chapultepec Cablebus be closed?
According to an informative card, the closures on the Cablebus will take place on the following dates:
- Line 3 (Constituyentes/Los Pinos to Vasco de Quiroga) – stations will be closed from July 14 to 27. On this line, maintenance work will be done on cabins, towers and electromechanical systems. Please note: in this case the RTP will only cover the Los Pinos to Parcur section.
- Line 2 (Constitución de 1917 to Santa Marta) – will be closed from July 27 to August 10. The work will include major maintenance on nine outriggers.
- Line 1 (from Indios Verdes to Cuautepec) – will be closed from July 28 to August 10. In this case the RTP will run from Indios Verdes to Cuautepec and from Indios Verdes to Tlalpexco.
These maintenance tasks are carried out every year in order to maintain a safe operation of this means of transportation. The longest closure will be on Line 3, which will last almost two weeks.
