The snack that Anthony ate at La Mascota
To whet his appetite, Bourdain started with a tequila, which later turned into several. Once he had warmed up, the snack parade began: carnitas, bean soup with nopales and chicharrón gordita, to which he added a few drops of red sauce.
La Macota was the setting for a feast to which live music was added. A quartet of guitars and maracas were activated to sing Serenata Huasteca, a song written by José Alfredo Jiménez. Closing with a beer toast.
