What we’ve all been asking for! CDMX takes another step towards sustainability with a new stage of the CDMX Rain Harvesting program, and will now incorporate solar water heaters, urban gardens and community training we tell you about it!
This initiative seeks to provide thousands of homes with access to eco-friendly technologies to save water, reduce gas usage and produce food from home, transforming homes into greener spaces!
Homes that register for the program and are chosen will receive free installation of:
💧 Rain harvesting system: collects water from the roof to use for cleaning, bathing or washing. Reduces dependence on mains water.
☀️ Solar water heater: heats water without gas, taking advantage of solar energy. Less expense and less pollution.
🌱 Urban garden: allows vegetables to be grown at home, improving the family diet.
👥 Community training: workshops, assemblies and meetings to learn how to use ecotechnologies and strengthen environmental culture.
The topic has undoubtedly generated expectations, but will your neighborhood be among the selected areas? The program starts this year in several neighborhoods in Coyoacán and Tlalpan:
-
Ajusco (Coyoacán)
-
Pedregal de Santa Úrsula (Coyoacán)
-
Town of Santa Ursula (Coyoacan)
-

-
