Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, charms, rings, and much more. The 2026 Chiapas Amber Expo kicked off last Wednesday, August 12, at the Monument to the Revolution. You only have this weekend to visit the event.
This is the 29th edition of the expo, where artisans from Chiapas will be selling all kinds of items made from amber. You’ll find everything from jewelry to figurines crafted from this material. Admission to the event is free.
How long can I visit the 2026 Chiapas Amber Expo?
This exhibition and sale is located at the Monument to the Revolution and will run all weekend. You can visit it from August 12 to 17, 2026. That’s right: you have until next Monday!
It will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. That said, we recommend arriving early so you can see all the items for sale at this expo. Not only will you find authentic treasures, but you’ll also learn more about this artisanal craft.

It’s worth mentioning that you’ll also find many handicrafts in the Zócalo. The 2026 Festival of Indigenous Cultures is currently taking place there and will run through August 23.
During your visit, you’ll find handicrafts, traditional sweets, and other items, as well as artistic and cultural performances. Admission is free.
