The Christmas spirit is already in the air! From November 6 to 13, 2026, Christmas tree lighting ceremonies will take place at several shopping malls in Mexico City. Some will feature shows or activities with characters like Shrek and the Peanuts gang.
Plus, there will be music and even areas where you can take photos with your favorite characters. Let the kids know!
Parque Delta
Shrek will be coming all the way from Far, Far Away to light the Christmas tree at Parque Delta. You can take a photo with this iconic character and, of course, enjoy the Christmas decorations at this… shopping center. The event will take place on the ground floor.
Galerías Insurgentes
On November 13, the Christmas tree will be lit at Galerías Insurgentes. During the event, you’ll see the Peanuts characters. In fact, there will be a meet-and-greet with these characters from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you want to participate, you must register at the Customer Service Desk between November 1 and 13 by presenting a valid ID. Registration must be done by someone 18 years of age or older.
Oceanía Gathering
This is a Christmas tree lighting event at shopping malls that will feature a cast of performers. At the event, you’ll see Yordi Rosado and Pato Tello. There will also be a tribute to Lara Campos. The show will begin at 4:00 p.m. sharp.
Manacar
Yordi Rosado and Pato Tello will also be performing at this mall. They’ll be joined by Eduardo Capetillo Jr. and Sebastián Abarca. There will be gifts for attendees and several surprises.
Perisur
The Christmas event will be called “Fantasía en el Granero.” The tree will be lit on November 12 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Mark the date on your calendar!
Galerías Coapa
Here, the Christmas tree lighting will be graced by the presence of the Grinch. That’s right. There will even be a meet-and-greet with this character—all you have to do is register at the Information and Service Desk. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 6.
Registration must be done by an adult presenting a valid ID between November 1 and 6. Spots are limited.
Tepeyac Park
This is a Christmas tree lighting event at shopping malls that you won’t want to miss, since you’ll be able to take photos with characters from *The Cat in the Hat*. Up to 200 photos will be taken, so be sure to arrive early so you can get yours.
Forum Buenavista
The tree lighting at Forum Buenavista will be unique, as they’ll bring the world of Jumanji to life. It’s been announced that both the tree and the Christmas experience will be inspired by this movie. Ready for the adventure?
Reforma 222
The Christmas tree lighting at Reforma 222 will be called “The Nutcracker’s Kingdom” and will take place on the ground floor of the venue. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp.
Galerías Perinorte
There will be a meet-and-greet here, too! You and your family will get to meet the characters from Bluey. Just like at Insurgentes and Coapa, you must register for the activity at the Customer Service Desk.
The tree lighting will take place at 7:00 p.m., while the meet-and-greet sessions will be at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
