Where is Churrería Macario, the place for churros, cinema and movies?
This could be your next favorite cinephile spot in town! It’s not a traditional churrería, but the place where the best of two worlds come together: churros and cinema.
Churrería Macario is located on 17th Street, number 112, Ignacio Zaragoza, in Venustiano Carranza. Its name alludes to the iconic Mexican film of the 60’s, ‘Macario’, which left its mark on national film lovers.
In its menu there are cold drinks, such as frappes, but also hot, like the Oaxacan chocolate that you can’t miss if you want a sweet treat for your palate.
In case you have more appetite, they also have savory options such as chilaquiles, molletes and chapatas.
While you savor the hot and crunchy churros, you can watch one of the movies they show there. Every month the billboard is launched on the social networks of Churrería Macario (@churreriamacario) with the films that will be shown.
So far, some of the films that have been shown are Sueño en otro idioma, Coraline and Mi amigo robot. There are titles for all tastes and ages, from animated classics like Shrek to documentaries like Take Away My Loves.
The place will envelop you in its cozy atmosphere so you can enjoy a movie, find new titles and chat with your friends about the films at the end of the screening. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
