They’re canceling the Coca Cola caravan? Yes, the Christmas parade scheduled for this Sunday, December 15 will not take place. This was announced by the Government of Mexico City through its X account.
Although the company’s official website had confirmed the date and route, the authorities announced that the event did not have a permit:
[…] the Government of Mexico City informs that it has not given authorization for the realization of said event, therefore, IT WILL NOT TAKE PLACE.
Let us recall that the caravan would begin at 7:00 p.m. on the dot. The route would be from the Glorieta del Ahuehuete to Campo Marte, along Paseo de la Reforma. However, this will not happen.
Coca Cola, through its social networks, released a statement where it affirms the cancellation of the event.
[This decision has been made in response to a request from the authorities, which we fully respect and comply with.
