The Day of the Dead edition of the Coffee and Chocolate Cultural Festival already has a date set for 2026! It’s a free event where you’ll enjoy a wide variety of these products, as well as workshops and other activities.
This festival takes place several times a year, and the next edition will be dedicated to the Day of the Dead. Through its official social media accounts, organizers have announced that this time there will be live music, dance and theater performances, sensory workshops, and even coffee tastings.
And that’s not all! As for the Day of the Dead, you’ll find alebrijes, catrinas, and more. They’ll even be selling all kinds of items for your offering. Of course, they’ll also be selling a wide variety of coffee and chocolate.
When will the 2026 Day of the Dead edition of the Coffee and Chocolate Festival take place?
The event will last an entire weekend. It will take place from October 2 to 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The venue is the National Museum of Popular Cultures (Av. Hidalgo 289, Colonia Del Carmen, Coyoacán district).
Admission will be free. The full program will be announced soon. It’s worth noting that the workshops are also free but have limited space.
This isn’t the only Day of the Dead event already confirmed for 2026. The Mega Procession of Catrinas will take place on Sunday, October 25, on Paseo de la Reforma. It will start at the Angel of Independence and end at the Zócalo.
Meanwhile, the parade of monumental alebrijes will take place on Saturday, October 17. It will begin at 12:00 p.m. and start at the Zócalo, proceeding to the Angel of Independence. Afterward, the participating alebrijes will be on display along Paseo de la Reforma for several days.
