Get out your blanket, gloves, and thickest socks! The weekend of January 16-18 will be intensely cold in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, with the possibility of thunderstorms and hail.
The National Civil Protection Coordination issued a preventive alert for the arrival of cold front number 29. Several states in Mexico will experience a polar mass that will cause low temperatures, heavy rain, and wind in different places. Likewise, fog banks could reduce visibility on the roads.

Friday, January 16:
- Showers of 5 to 25 mm.
- Temperature from 20 to 22° C.
- Wind from 10 to 20 km/h and gusts of up to 45 km/h.
Saturday, January 17:
- Showers of 5 to 25 mm, with possible thunderstorms.
- Temperature of 19 to 21°C (maximum) and minimum of 5 to 7°C.
- Wind from 10 to 25 km/h and gusts of up to 35 km/h.
Sunday, January 18:
- Isolated rainfall of 0.1 to 5 mm.
- Maximum temperature of 16 to 18°C and minimum of 5 to 7°C.
- Winds of 10 to 25 km/h with gusts of 35 km/h.
