There is no doubt that we are all fascinated by everything that surrounds the Great Tenochtitlan. Knowing what it looked like, the sites that still remain in the city and more details that allow us to imagine what the ground we now walk on was like 700 years ago.
The great Mexico Tenochtitlan was the capital of the Mexica empire, and where our beautiful CDMX is currently located, and according to historians, Mexico Tenochtitlan was founded in 1325, becoming one of the largest cities in the world at that time, with more than 2,000 inhabitants!
The great city disappeared in 1521 with the Spanish conquest of Mexico. However, now you can travel back in time and hear the songs that were sung 700 years ago.
About the Tenochtitlán concert by the Orquesta Típica de la CDMX
As part of the Conmemoración 700 años México Tenochtitlán, a concert will take place that will make you travel back in time, all performed by the Orquesta Típica de la Ciudad de México!
In this free concert you will discover through a program that recreates what could have been pre-Hispanic music, in a special presentation with teponaztli, huehuetl, choir and works by Carlos Chávez, Guty Cárdenas, Arturo Márquez and more.
