The wait is over! This Wednesday, August 12, the 2026 Azcapotzalco International Book Fair begins. This year, not only will you be able to buy all kinds of books, but you’ll also enjoy live music, book presentations, theater, dance, and more.
This major literary festival will run all weekend and feature different activities every day starting at 4:00 p.m., except on Saturday and Sunday, when the program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and 11:30 a.m., respectively.
What will be featured at the 2026 Azcapotzalco International Book Fair?
Every day, you’ll find a book fair featuring books offered at various prices. But that’s not all. The event will kick off with a bang with a concert by Yucatán a Go Go on Wednesday, August 12, at 4:00 p.m. sharp. The first day will conclude with Zarambeque Contemporáneo at 8:00 p.m.
Each day will feature musical performances and different activities. For example, on Friday, August 14, there will be a book presentation for *Amaneceres de la angustia*; there will also be a discussion exploring what young people are reading these days.
Of course, there will also be activities for children. On Sunday, August 16, we’ll see “El Show Siempre Niños.” Here’s the full schedule. Remember that you can visit this fair from August 12 to 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Jardín Hidalgo (Av. Azcapotzalco, Downtown Azcapotzalco). Admission is free.
