Mexican traditions will come together in Chapultepec! From October 30 to November 1, the Los Pinos Cultural Complex will host the Day of the Dead Offering and Handicraft Fair, organized by the National Fund for the Promotion of Handicrafts (FONART).
For three days, you can explore an offering dedicated to the memory of artisans who have passed away, as well as discover handcrafted creations from different regions of Mexico. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This celebration seeks to honor those who dedicated their lives to preserving techniques, knowledge, and traditions that continue to be present in the work of new generations.
An offering to honor the hands that keep our traditions alive
Unlike other Day of the Dead offerings, this installation will highlight the people who have contributed to preserving our country’s artisan heritage.
The intention is to pay tribute to those who, through their hands and expertise, brought to life pieces that represent the cultural identity of different communities.
Although the details of this year’s installation have not yet been announced, the tribute will maintain its focus on the memory and legacy of Mexican creators.
What will you find at the Day of the Dead Handicraft Fair at Los Pinos?
In addition to the memorial display, FONART will organize a fair featuring artisanal creations from different regions of the country.
It will be an opportunity to explore Mexican artisanal work and discover pieces crafted using techniques that are part of the history of numerous communities.
In 2025, 72 artisans from ten states participated, showcasing works in textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and glass, among other disciplines. As of now, it has not been confirmed how many exhibitors will participate in this new edition.
The event will take place at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, one of the cultural venues in the first section of Chapultepec Forest.
