The rhythm of the sonidero dance will be honored in a vibrant exhibition, which is focused on the role of women in the sonidero performances.
The exhibition is called Expo Amplificadas.Sonideras, picoteras, sound system. It is made up of photographs, audiovisual projections and objects that recognize women in the world of sonideros.
It should be noted that the exhibition not only focuses on Mexico, but also covers the sonidero in Colombia and the cultural relationship between the two countries.
This exhibition will be at the Centro Cultural El Rulé, located at Eje Central 6, Centro Histórico. You will be able to see it from July 17 to August 31, although we recommend you attend the opening. Access is free of charge.
The exhibition opens with an incredible sonidero dance!
The grand opening will be quite a party featuring sounds such as Musas Sonideras from Mexico and La Comadre Soundsystem from Colombia. Clubs La Pareja Bonita, Dulce y Alex, and Club Naucalpan City will also be present.
Find your dance partner and don’t miss out on this event that will make you show off your best moves. The event will take place on Thursday, July 17, at 6:00 pm.
But don’t worry if you can’t attend the inaugural dance, because there will be one more to say goodbye to the exhibition. This will be on Saturday, August 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
