Have you already visited the new exhibition of banknotes at Museo Casa del Risco? This precinct started the year with an exhibition in which you will discover all the secrets of the G Family banknotes (the most recent ones). In addition, you will see works of art made with the material left over during the manufacture of paper money.
This exhibition was made in collaboration with the Bando de México (which by the way has its own museum in the Historic Center of Mexico City). It will be available until April 27, 2025. We tell you what it’s all about so you don’t miss it.
This is what the banknote exhibition at the Casa del Risco Museum looks like!
According to information from the museum, the exhibition “The fascinating world of banknotes: design, innovation, art and value” is divided into two parts. In the first part you will learn all about banknotes, including security measures, design and theme.
In the second part you will see works of art made with refines and waste, that is to say, the material left over when banknotes are being made. You will see works by 23 artists such as Diana Morales Galicia, Maria Tello, Luis Argudin, Carlos Aguirre and Beatriz Canfield.
The museum is located at Plaza de San Jacinto 5 y 15, San Ángel, alcaldía Álvaro Obregón. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00 hours. Admission to the exhibition is free.
