Fête de la Musique 2026 is ready to fill various venues across Mexico City with music. From June 17 to 21, this renowned international festival will offer a free program featuring 18 musical performances at six venues across the capital.
This year’s edition holds special significance, as it is part of the celebrations marking the bicentennial of diplomatic relations between Mexico and France. What is Fête de la Musique 2026?
Fête de la Musique was founded in France in 1982 with a simple idea: to bring music to every possible space and allow anyone to enjoy it without financial barriers. More than four decades later, the festival is celebrated in around 120 countries and has become one of the world’s most important cultural initiatives.
In Mexico City, Fête de la Musique 2026 will celebrate its 19th edition with a diverse program featuring jazz, rock, classical music, folk, electronic, pop, traditional sounds, and experimental acts.
Notable among the confirmed artists are The Triskells, Auikal, Chicas Dixie Ensamble, Mike Sandoval Seis, Rox and Soul, Latitudes, Yorka, También Soy Leonarda, Diidxajazz Cuarteto, Batalá México, Musas Sonideras, Sonido Mayahuel, El Poder del Barrio, and Big Band Jazz Kidz, in addition to other national and international acts.
