The rains have already begun, and with them comes one of the most anticipated natural spectacles of the year. Throughout July, you can enjoy *The Whisper of the Fireflies*, a nighttime experience at Los Dinamos that combines nature, learning, and cultural activities in the heart of the forest.
This activity aims to introduce you to the fascinating world of fireflies through an environmentally respectful experience. In addition to the tour to observe these luminous insects, the program includes an entomological talk to learn more about their life cycle, behavior, and importance within the ecosystem.
An experience to connect with nature
Before the tour begins, participants can enjoy a tasting of organic tea and sweet pancakes. This will be followed by an outdoor puppet and shadow theater performance, designed to complement the experience and raise awareness about the conservation of these tiny insects.
The activity culminates in a guided nighttime tour to spot fireflies. Due to the fragility of their habitat, the organizers have implemented various measures to minimize human impact and ensure responsible observation.
Recommendations include wearing dark, waterproof clothing, bringing a thermos or reusable cup, a flashlight, and comfortable shoes without reflective elements. You’re also asked to avoid using a flash, refrain from lighting campfires, and walk carefully throughout the entire route.
Everything you need to know to participate
The experience will take place on Saturdays in July and has limited availability. Additionally, those who wish to extend their adventure in the forest can stay overnight for an additional fee. To reserve your spot, send a direct message to Los Dinamos’ social media accounts.
