1. Piñata Exhibition at MAP
As it is already a tradition, the Museum of Popular Art will be filled with piñatas as part of a contest in which artists and artisans will show all their talent and creativity. The exhibition of the participating pieces will begin on November 9.

2. Artisan Festival of Coffee, Chocolate and more
Two of our favorite beverages of the season will inspire this festival that will inaugurate the last month of the year! Whether you just won’t let go of your coffee, no matter the month, or you look forward to December for hot chocolate, this is for you.
The first weekend of December, in Roma Norte, more than 60 stands await you with coffee, chocolate, desserts, artisanal products and the most original gifts for your Christmas exchanges.

3. The Santa Run
This is a fun run in which all participants are dressed as Santa Claus. It is one of the December 2024 activities in CDMX that you can’t miss. There will be three distances: 1, 5 and 10 kilometers.

4. Hot Wheels Experience
After passing through Brazil and Chile, this experience arrives in Mexico City. It is an interactive experience ideal for car lovers. It will take you to the world of Hot Wheels. It is suitable for all ages.

5. Hello Kitty Christmas Festival
At this event you will find everything from amazing gifts to show off at the Christmas exchange, to a raffle, dance cover and more activities. The best part is that access is free of charge.

6. Nutcracker with the Philharmonic of the Arts.
The Nutcracker is one of the shows traditionally presented during the Christmas season. This presentation will be headlined by the Philharmonic of the Arts and the Arts Dance Company.

7. Christmas bazaar in the Condesa.
Let’s go shopping for gifts! In the plans of what to do in CDMX in December you can’t miss this bazaar, as they will sell everything from Christmas ornaments to gifts. There will be toys, ceramic pieces and much more.

8. Christmas in Mexico
This is a Christmas show at Chapultepec Castle. The Ballet Folklorico de Amalia Hernandez will take you to experience a magical show. There will only be five performances, so don’t miss it.

9. Brilla Fest 2024
This 2024 Brilla Fest returns to Parque Naucalli. It is a Christmas village very close to Mexico City. It is distinguished by its illuminated figures; however, it is not the only thing you will see. It has parade, train and unmissable shows.

10. Go on vacation without leaving the CDMX and travel all over Mexico in Mystika.
Discover a new way to travel through Pepe Soho’s immersive photo exhibition. From seeing humpback whales in Baja California to marveling at the monarch butterflies of Michoacán, you’re going to be amazed by all the natural wonders of our country.

11. Candlelight Ballet
In the middle of an intimate candlelight atmosphere you will enjoy the traditional Nutcracker show. The show will be divided into two parts. 12. Michael Jackson Symphonic Concert
Let’s start the month with a bang. Among the activities in December in CDMX there is a tribute concert to Michael Jackson. In this symphonic show you will listen to the singer’s greatest hits. It will be conducted by the Symphony Orchestra of Mexico.

13. Cine al aire at Cenart
On Monday, November 4, open-air cinema returns at Cenart. Every Monday different films will be presented. On this occasion you will see Mexican films. During December 2024 there will be two screenings. In the first one “El esqueleto de la señora Morales” will be screened and in the second one “Mecánica Nacional”.

14. Exhibition inspired by José Guadalupe Posada
In this exhibition, cartoonist Gonzalo Rocha pays homage to the work of José Guadalupe Posada, whom you surely remember for being the creator of the catrina. You’ll see silkscreen prints, etchings and more.

15. Neon Brush
Bring out your artistic side in this experience. You will paint using classic and fluorescent paint. The theme is free, so you can let your creativity run wild. An expert will guide you through the whole process and help you to better capture your idea.

16. Enchanted medieval Christmas
Experience a medieval Christmas in the Desierto de los Leones! They’ll have medieval weddings, shows, dancing, falconry and even a living nativity. Run to set aside the date.

17. Flores de Nochebuena Festival in Reforma
Let’s buy poinsettias at Paseo de la Reforma. Starting December 2, these flowers will be sold, as well as other plants and even Christmas ornaments. It is part of the Festival de la Nochebuena, which will take place in different points of CDMX.

18. Magic at Play

19. Nutcracker at UNAM
The Choreographic Workshop of the UNAM will present the show Clara and The Nutcracker. It is a show suitable for the whole family and ideal for the Christmas season. Let the kids know.

20. Christmas concert in Tláhuac.
One of the events to be held in CDMX in December is this free concert led by the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra. Different Christmas songs such as “Silent Night,” “Christmas Eve Suite” and many more will be performed live.

21. Christmas at Inbursa Aquarium
The Inbursa Aquarium will have an event called “Christmas Story under the Sea” in which they will take you on a tour of the aquarium while they tell you Christmas stories. You’ll see magical beings including mermaids, shepherds, fairies and even elves.

How would you like to listen to Christmas carols while watching the sunset from above? In these concerts Miko & Cocktail of Nervio Collective will perform Christmas tunes but in jazz version.

23. Sphere Fair in Neza
This is one of the December events that you will love, especially if you haven’t decorated your house yet. While the main product is the sphere, they will also sell other products such as nativity scenes, piñatas and all kinds of ornaments.

24. Yugen has winter season
Experience the magic of winter in Japan at Yugen, an experience that takes you to know the traditions of the country of the rising sun. 25. Diego Rivera Festival
In order to commemorate Diego Rivera’s birthday there will be a party at the Anahuacalli Museum headed by Sonido Gallo Negro, Paraíso Colombiano and Ese Latro Tarzanón. The choir of this museum will also participate.

26. The selfie Experience Christmas
Let’s take Christmas photos in this free experience! During your visit you will find incredible scenery that will fill everything with the magic of Christmas. To enter you just need to scan a QR code and select the schedule you prefer.

27. Winter Lights Festival
This year 2024 the Winter Lights Festival at Cenart will have a lot of music. It will offer six concerts in which different Christmas songs will be performed. The first one is this Sunday, December 1.

28. Christmas Tour in Xochimilco
This is an incredible experience. You will be taken on a trajinera boat through the canals of Xochimilco while listening to Christmas carols. You’ll also visit a nochebuenas nursery, enjoy sweets, pulque and much more.

29. Nutcracker National Auditorium
The traditional Nutcracker show will come to the National Auditorium. On stage you’ll see the Fine Arts Theater Orchestra and the National Dance Company.

30. Feria de la Piñata in Acolman
At the posadas and Christmas parties you can’t miss the piñata. Get your hands on Christmas piñatas at this fair. There will also be carnival and different artistic and cultural shows.

31. Mezcal Fest
In the plans of what to do in CDMX in December we bring you a festival about mezcal. Producers of this drink will participate, coming from states like San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Puebla and Durango.

32. Christmas tours in Jardines de México.

33. Coca Cola Caravan

34. Candlelight Christmas
Christmas is not complete without Christmas carols, right? If you are looking for things to do in CDMX in December and you like Christmas music, don’t miss this candlelight concert. Songs such as “Los peces en el río”, “Llegó la Navidad”, “Blanca Navidad”, “Noche de paz” and “Ven a mi casa esta Navidad”, among many others, will be performed.
