There will be FREE books in the Zócalo of CDMX this December! Fondo de Cultura Económica will be giving away books to young people and teenagers between 15 and 30 years old.
To encourage reading, the publisher will give away copies of the collection “25 para el 25”, which is made up of 27 titles by Latin American writers such as Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Benedetti, Nona Fernández and more.
The giveaway will be for one day: December 17, starting at 4:00 pm.
These are the free books you’ll find in the Zócalo
At the moment, there are only 27 titles confirmed; however, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, director of the Fondo de Cultura Económica, said that possibly one more will be added. Without further ado, here’s the list:
