The magic of Christmas came to the Vasconcelos Library with a memorable Christmas concert. The Academy of Ancient Music prepared a presentation with pieces by Vivaldi, Handel and other classical composers.
The show is called “Between Angels and Shepherds” and includes pieces of sacred music from the XVI and XVIII centuries in Europe. Get ready to enjoy works such as Gloria et divitiae in domo eius by Vivaldi and À la venue de Noël by Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
Violins, cellos, flutes and other instruments will make this an unforgettable show. Please note that there is only one performance scheduled for December 11, at 5:00 pm.
The performance will be at the library auditorium, which has a capacity for 498 people. Admission is free; we recommend you anticipate your arrival, as space is limited.
In addition to the Vasconcelos Library, this Christmas concert will be presented in other CDMX venues.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the opportunity to attend this event, because it will also be presented at the Manuel M. Ponce Hall of the Palace of Fine Arts. This performance will be on Saturday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m.; admission is $75.
On the other hand, on Sunday, December 14, “Entre ángeles y pastores” will be at the Simón Bolívar Amphitheater of the Colegio de San Ildefonso. The show starts at 12:00 noon and tickets are $50.
If you enjoy classical music, this repertoire will not fail you during the Christmas season.
