If you love classical music, you can not miss this presentation of strings. This is a concert in tribute to Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz for her 330th birthday, with the participation of musicians from the Ensamble de Bellas Artes!
The show will take place at the Claustro de Sor Juana next Friday, May 23rd; it starts at 6:00 pm. You will listen to works not only by the Tenth Mexican Muse, but also by other musicians and composers who dedicated a piece to her.
It will be the Ensamble de Bellas Artes and the Saloma Quartet who will do the magic behind the string instruments such as violin, viola and cello.
Best of all, the Sor Juana concert is free admission, so you won’t have to spend all your savings on a first class show.
We remind you that El Claustro is located at 📍 Izazaga 92, Centro Histórico.
You can also visit the new Museo de Sitio Sor Juana!
El Claustro University is in full swing, because at the end of April it inaugurated a new museum dedicated to Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. There are several pieces such as: replicas of her representative paintings, works, banknotes and even a representation of her habit.
Admission is free and you can visit it from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00. If you go to the concert, take the opportunity to get to know it.
