To celebrate International Jazz Day, observed on April 30, a pair of jazz concerts will be presented at the Chapultepec Scenic Garden. This performance will offer the highest artistic quality, as it will be presented by the Bellas Artes Chamber Orchestra.
On an outdoor stage surrounded by nature, you can enjoy “Program 8,” which blends string instruments and piano with contemporary sounds. Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite No. 1, Héctor Infanzón’s Con cierta candela, and Leoš Janáček’s String Suite are the pieces featured in the performances.
As we mentioned, there will be two performances. The first will be on Thursday, April 30, at 8:00 p.m. If you prefer to go out at night to avoid the heat, or are looking for a night out that won’t break the bank, this plan is sure to suit you.
The second performance will take place on Sunday, May 3, at 12:00 p.m. This is ideal for a family outing and the perfect grand finale to the long weekend.
It is worth noting that Program 8 will feature pianist Héctor Infanzón, an artist who has been nominated for a Latin Grammy and received the highest honor from the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature. Seeing him perform live will be a real treat!
Whether you’re looking for a weekend plan or an event to keep you out at night, the jazz concert at the Chapultepec Scenic Garden is a great option for enjoying music in a natural setting.
