Gabriel Orozco’ s works have not been in a Mexican museum since 2006 and this year he returns with an exhibition at Museo Jumex. Entitled “Politécnico Nacional” , the show compiles projects that the artist has developed during his career.
The exhibition, of contemporary art, opens on February 1, 2025. What will you see? Paintings, sculptures, installations, games, assemblages, drawings and photographs. The curatorship was in the hands of British historian Briony Fer.
Gabriel Orozco’s exhibition at the Museo Jumex will allow us to appreciate the techniques that the artist has perfected, such as rotation or the materialization of time. Also, you will see pieces based on symmetry.
“Politécnico Nacional” will stay a few months in the museum and says goodbye on August 3, 2025. Remember that access to the precinct is free. You can attend 🕛 Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00; Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00. Please note that it is not open on Mondays.
Museo Jumex is located at 📍 Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 303, Granada, Miguel Hidalgo.
February is a perfect month to enjoy art in Mexico City. Not only because of the arrival of this exhibition, but also because of Art Week 2025, where different galleries come together with surprising presentations. At the moment, Feria Material is one of the events that are more than confirmed, are you missing it?
