Come and see the giant skulls of Day of the Dead 2025 in Tláhuac! The theme of this 2025 is related to the stars that guide our deceased.
The monumental display returns to the streets of Tláhuac to surprise us with Alumbra, an exhibition characterized by its illuminated stars: some of them in large format.
These pieces were placed on the facades of the neighbors of Francisco Santiago Borraz Street, in the Santa Cecilia neighborhood. Generally, they are placed in the upper part of the houses.
Let’s remember that the conception of Mesoamerican cultures is that the stars guide the path of the deceased. The residents of this neighborhood seek to continue with this belief.
The display of stars will be joined by monumental skulls, made by the Jaén Cartonería Oficial collective.

Until when can I see the illuminated stars and giant skulls in Tláhuac?
The exhibition will be available until Sunday, November 2, 2025. Although you can visit it at any time of the day, the recommendation is that you attend at night so you can enjoy the magic of the lights.
Consider that during Friday, October 31, some pieces will continue to be installed. The luminous figures will be turned on starting at 6:00 pm.
The best of all is that in this tradition, neighbors come together to decorate their homes with different elements alluding to the Day of the Dead. There is no cost to visit this street.

If you are looking for plans for this weekend, surely visiting Tláhuac will be among your options.
Remember that this district will celebrate a Day of the Dead festival with free concerts, gastronomy and much more.
