Múltiple is the Open Art program that brought together four different projects that invite the public to experiment and interact with them. One of the unmissable ones that you can still enjoy this November is Guggensito.
This program seeks to generate connections, exchanges and collaborations with projects that explore different possibilities of approaching art from different disciplines, such as digital art, dance, public art and theater.
- Cutout Track 03 – Digital Art
- Teatro Facto – Theater
- Trazo – Dance
- Guggensito – Public art and social architecture
Múltiple has been in this art space since October, and although several of its projects have already been carried out, you can still enjoy Guggensito, one of the protagonists of the program.
More about Guggensito
Guggensito is a portable inflatable museum that has a structure similar to the famous children’s games, becoming a parody of the great museums of modern art. It has been at Arte Abierto since October 2 and you can visit it until November 24.
Its shape imitates the architecture of Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Beyond the architectural parody, this piece speaks to the inclusions and exclusions that take place in art and culture.
This inflatable museum was not created to be seen, unlike the real museum, but has been made to be used. Guggensito is a space intended for play and to be a social space, which contrasts with the museum use of modern museums.
This is the third edition of Guggensito, created by Eder Castillo in co-production with Arte Abierto. Eder Castillo is a Mexican visual artist focused on sociocultural research and art in public spaces.
This November you can also enjoy a series of free activities and activations to explore the many ways to visit this floating museum.
It is important to know that all activities at Múltilple are 100% free and suitable for all audiences, making it an excellent plan to visit with the whole family.
