If you’re looking for a getaway near the city with activities for all ages, Hacienda Panoaya could become your next favorite destination. Just an hour from Mexico City, this massive ecotourism park combines nature, animals, outdoor games, and even extreme adventures all in one place.
Here you can spend the whole day enjoying boat rides, a 200-meter zip line over the lake, giant mazes, and tractor tours. There are also inflatable play areas, archery, a bike path, a semi-Olympic-sized pool, and picnic areas to enjoy a relaxing day with friends, family, or your partner.
One of the park’s biggest attractions is interacting with animals. Here you can meet Coco the giraffe, feed deer, spend time with capybaras, and visit the lemur enclosure. There’s also an aviary, an axolotl museum, ducklings, chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a pack of wolves—making it one of the most unique spots near the capital.
