Can you imagine observing the Mexican wolf up close and learning about its conservation in the heart of nature? The Extinction Zero Sanctuary, located very close to Ixtapan de la Sal, opens its doors and offers an immersive experience so you can connect with this iconic species that is currently fighting to avoid extinction.
Every Sunday, a tour departs from Mexico City for this Mexican wolf sanctuary, where you can meet the pack, explore the natural habitat, and learn more about the history, habitat, and conservation of these animals. The experience aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting one of Mexico’s most iconic species.
What does a visit to the Mexican wolf sanctuary include?
The tour includes round-trip transportation from Parque España in the Condesa neighborhood, meals, and a guided tour inside the Extinción Cero Sanctuary. Throughout the day, there will be talks about the Mexican gray wolf, walks through the natural area, and a tour of the enclosures where the pack lives.
In addition to spending time in nature, you’ll learn about the conservation work carried out by this Mexican wolf sanctuary. The admission fee directly supports the care of the animals and the maintenance of the project.
The experience is limited to just 10 people per visit to prioritize animal welfare and offer a much more intimate tour. To reserve your spot, you must send a direct message to the sanctuary’s Instagram.
