Do you know this mystical corner of Hidalgo where myths come to life? In the heart of the Magic Town of Huasca de Ocampo, there is a place where fantasy and tradition intertwine: the Museum of the Goblins.
This space was founded in 1999 by Cristina Cortés, and has been guarded for decades by the mysticism and cosmovision of the people of Huasca, who have kept alive their legends about elves, goblins and other magical beings.
Surrounded by lush forests, the museum houses more than 600 clay and ceramic figures representing creatures such as trolls, fairies and, of course, elves.

Visitors are immersed in fascinating stories: horses with mysterious braids, children who claim to have played with these creatures and objects full of regional symbolism. The guided tour, which lasts about 20 minutes, has an affordable cost of only $40 pesos per person.
In addition to the museum experience, the surrounding area offers rustic cabins immersed in nature, with rates between $1,500 and $3,000 per night, ideal to complete a magical getaway.
Night hike to the Wishing Tree: a spiritual journey in the forest

Not to be missed? Your night walk to the “Wishing Tree”, an experience that goes beyond tourism and becomes a ceremony of personal connection.
This tour begins at dusk and guides visitors through a path full of magic and symbolism. You will be accompanied by beings of light and surrounded by the energy of the forest.
Each step invites you to let go of emotional burdens, renew hope and open yourself to introspection. When you reach the tree, a symbolic act is performed where you can make a couple of wishes. It is an experience that combines spirituality, nature and tradition, perfect for those who are looking for something deeper in their journey.
How to get to the Elves Museum?

If you are traveling from the CDMX, you can get there by car through two routes: The one from Tulancingo and the one from Pachuca. Both routes take approximately 2 hours and a half.
However, you can also take buses to Huasca de Ocampo, and from there you will have to take a local transportation to San Juan Hueyapan, which is only 2.5 kilometers from the center.
This incredible and magical museum is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:20 p.m., and is ideal for a vacation or weekend getaway with your family or couple, as it is a different corner where you will live an unforgettable experience.
