We are just a few days away from saying goodbye forever to 2024 and even though it flew by, it’s time to stop looking back and start planning for the future! That’s why we bring you the dates of the 2025 vacations and long weekends in Mexico.
Take out your agenda, because we will also include the days when the kids will not have classes according to the calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
Bridges of 2025 in Mexico
Let’s start with the bridges of 2025 that are generated due to the mandatory rest days of the Federal Labor Law.
- January 1: The welcome of 2025 falls on a Wednesday.
- February 3: We have the first Monday of February off in commemoration of the Mexican Constitution (February 5).
- March 17: Free on the third Monday of March in commemoration of the birth of Benito Juárez (March 21).
- May 1: Thursday off in commemoration of Labor Day.
- September 16: This year falls on Tuesday due to Independence Day.
- November 17: The third Monday of November will be a day off in commemoration of the Mexican Revolution (November 20).
- December 25: This year 2025 Christmas will fall on Thursday.
The following days are not mandatory rest days. However, these days are sometimes granted by many companies and schools:
- April 17 and 18: Holy Week (Holy Thursday and Good Friday).
- January 6: Three Wise Men’s Day
- April 30: Children’s Day
- May 10: Mother’s Day
- November 1 and 2: Day of the Dead
- December 12: Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe
When will the vacations be in 2025?
Now let’s go to the little ones. The SEP calendar for the 2024-2025 school year indicates that classes begin on January 6, so they will only have vacation from January 1 to 3, 2025.
On the other hand, Easter vacations will take place from April 14 to 25. And finally, the school year will end on July 16, so you can start planning your summer vacations from that date.
