An illuminated Eiffel Tower right in the heart of a Pueblo Mágico? You don’t have to travel all the way to Paris to take a photo with one. In Chignahuapan, Puebla, you’ll find Mundo Iluminado, a journey featuring lights, immersive tunnels, music, and scenes that transform the Paseo de la Laguna.
This venue is open year-round and offers a variety of experiences. Although you can visit starting at 10:00 a.m., it remains open until 11:00 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday, so you can explore its illuminated displays after dark.
14 lighting themes and an Eiffel Tower
The “Mundo Iluminado 1” experience includes a tour of 14 lighting themes, as well as immersive tunnels and a unique illuminated version of the Eiffel Tower.
The $150 ticket per person also includes unlimited time inside the experience and complimentary coffee.
Another option is “Sensaciones de Luz,” a standalone experience that costs $150 per person. Here you’ll find immersive tunnels, an illuminated forest, fireflies, light and sound shows, and an illuminated lake.
The tour takes an estimated one to one and a half hours, although there is no time limit for access to Mundo Iluminado 1. Additionally, the venue is pet-friendly, so you can bring your pet along on your visit.
You can also tour Chignahuapan on the Turibús
If you’d like to enhance the experience, there are packages that include a cultural tour on a double-decker Turibús illuminated by Chignahuapan.
The “Mundo Iluminado 1” plus Turibús package costs $200 per person, while the option that combines “Mundo Iluminado 1,” “Sensaciones de Luz,” and Turibús costs $320 per person.
