This Saturday, October 10, a new immersive Day of the Dead experience will open its doors in Chapultepec as part of the 2026 Aztlán Festival of Skulls.
Day of the Dead is just around the corner, and Aztlán, the Chapultepec Fair, will celebrate it in style with a festival running from October 10 to November 8. During these weeks, the park will be decorated with this theme and will feature various activities related to the season.
Everything about the immersive Day of the Dead experience at Chapultepec
You can experience this at the Aztlán Immersive Pavilion at the Chapultepec Fair (Av. de los Compositores S/N, second section of Chapultepec Forest). Shows will be held every half hour between 12:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The experience, called “La Fiesta Eterna” (The Eternal Party), is included in the Aztlán Family ($2,500, which includes admission for four people) and Plus ($650) packages. For several minutes, you’ll enjoy a show celebrating the Day of the Dead, featuring cempasúchil flowers, catrinas, lights, and even alebrijes.
In addition to this experience, you can visit Hacienda Maldita, a haunted house that’s sure to give you a few scares; this attraction does have an extra cost. There will also be workshops, a visual arts exhibition, and much more.
What else will be happening in Chapultepec for the Day of the Dead?
This forest in Mexico City will host a Day of the Dead festival featuring a drone show, offerings, music, art installations, and even a street party. It will take place in the second section of Chapultepec from October 30 to November 1. Admission is free.
The festival will also feature a show called “Water Lantern,” in which the lake in the second section of Chapultepec Forest will be illuminated to remember those who are no longer with us. There is a fee to participate in this activity.
