An impressive 46-speaker dome and LED lights! The new Sonidario at Los Pinos is an immersive experience where you can listen to acoustic works and pieces from the archive of the Fonoteca Nacional de México.
The hall was inaugurated on September 13, 2025 and has been a great success, as it is the first hall with fifth-order ambisonic technology in Latin America.
This means that the sound projection is 360 °, so your ears will pick up sounds coming from different directions. This is not all, because the Sonidario has light installations that are synchronized with the audio.
The result of this combination is an immersive and unique experience. The programming includes pieces by Mexican authors; each month there will be a different work that will be adapted to be enjoyed in this format.
Manuel Rocha Iturbide, Tania Rubio and Edmar Soria are some of the artists who will be present in this room. There will also be international proposals and artistic exhibitions.
