Pixel Universe

Enter a video game universe, as if you were inside Tron or the Matrix! You will have to go through 6 levels before you reach the “final boss” and defeat him. Yancuic Museum

Among the new immersive experiences in CDMX is the Yancuic Museum. It is a cultural space in the Iztapalapa municipality that disseminates information about climate change, ecosystems and even the solar system.
It has immersive rooms, interactive installations and even a forum for shows. Best of all, admission is free.

3. Stranger Things: The Experience

The official Netflix experience of Stranger Things opens a portal to the other side just in time to celebrate the new season. It’s divided into two sections: the first is a tour where you become another character in the series with everything and super powers. This part has all kinds of special effects and you will have to fight Vecna and demogorgons. The second part is a tour through Hawkins to take pictures at Will’s house and taste the delights of Scoops Ahoy. Don’t forget to go with your best 80’s outfit!

4. Utopia Ship Virtual Aquarium

One of the immersive experiences in CDMX most enjoyed by the kids is the Barco Utopia aquarium in Iztapalapa. It is a 360-degree projection room where you will see about 60 marine species.
In addition, this aquarium is interactive, because by touching the screens you will perform different activities such as cleaning the sea water. Admission is free!

5. The Jury Experience
Ready to walk through the doors of a trial… where you are part of the jury? In The Jury Experience everything happens like in a real courtroom: there are lawyers, testimonies, evidence… and a decision that you will have to make together with the rest of the attendees. For an hour, you will sit in a courtroom recreated in detail, surrounded by professional actors and with the fate of the accused hanging in the balance.

6. Titanic: A Journey Through Time

A completely new experience is coming to the city! How about living an interactive virtual reality experience? Not only will you have the opportunity to put on VR glasses and explore the most famous ship in history as a passenger, but you will also be able to interact with your surroundings and chat with its passengers. You’ll be able to visit the grand first-class staircase and pour coal into the boiler room, but we know how the story ends!

7. Tim Burton: The Labyrinth

Enter the labyrinthine mind of Tim Burton. This exhibition will take you to learn more about the creative process of this filmmaker: you will see unpublished drawings and monumental sculptures of the iconic characters of all his films -from Mars Attacks! to Nightmare Before Christmas-.
Each tour is different, because, as a good labyrinth, you will choose your own path and you will always see new details!

8. Maleficio

If you love Disney villains, then you won’t want to miss the new immersive experience in CDMX. It’s Maleficio, a speakeasy where, by crossing a bewitched mirror, you’ll arrive at a very sensual and somewhat creepy bar.
You will receive a menu of themed cocktails, with lights, colors and some smoke. But the best part is that when your drinks arrive at the table, you will hear a message from a malicious villainess.

9. Mystika

Throw yourself into an experience that will transport you to natural sanctuaries all over Mexico. 10. Japan: from myth to manga

This exhibition celebrates the creativity and joy of Japanese art and culture. With iconic prints such as “The Great Wave of Kanagawa” set against Ghibli films such as “Ponyo”, Japan: From Myth to Manga is a fun showcase of how traditional Japanese culture influences many of today’s trends.
Imagine that! In one of the sections, the Sky section, you will learn about the legend of the rabbit on the Moon, while watching original stills from Sailor Moon; or in the Forest section you will see scenes from “My Neighbor Totoro” next to a traditional fan, a silk screen and tenderloins. You will also be part of the ingenuity of Japanese culture by making origami and your own manga.
