The month of June began full of uncertainty due to the announcements about a temporary closure of different cultural precincts belonging to the INAH museum network.
On June 3, 2025 some museums communicated to their visitors through social networks their closure until further notice without mentioning any reason.
This closure occurred after INAH announced on Sunday June 1 that they would change the security person. They went from the Auxiliary Police of the CDMX to the private company SSS Asistencia Y Supervisión S.A. DE C.V.
It also announced in a press release that it lacked auxiliary police, which affected the opening of some cultural spaces, since without the presence of security personnel, museums could not operate normally.
However, due to the virality of such news, the matter was taken up and now the entire network of INAH museums is open on its regular schedule.
This was announced on the X profile of Claudia Curiel de Icaza, Secretary of Culture of the Government of Mexico.
